It Doesn't!

Every year it seems as though the mosquitos stay active longer and longer...and they're as rapacious as phuque to boot... Last year I remember killing them well into November; they seem to find clothes and things to hide in, and probably get water from sink traps or something...

Anyhow, I've got both electronic frazzers and burning coils on duty now, and it does seem to be making a difference...

I was about to recommend giving the lazy, stupid mosquitos a bite or two while hunting down the smarter ones. Eventually the lazy/stupid genes will spread and they'll all be lazy and stupid, and then we can strike!

I agree with PS, the season for mosquitoes really never ends. Last year I was getting bitten in Dec and Jan. The damn things really never go away.

I hate those POS mosquitoes. Korea's mosquito problem is waaaay worse than when I lived in Canada. I have two mosquito wall scents plugged in, two bug zappers, and I still have to sleep with a fly swatter beside my pillow. It's getting colder, so hopefully i only have to put up with those b!tches for only another month.

chachee,

You sound like me, pure overkill (no pun intended) in terms of trying to get rid of them. I understand how you feel.

Solution: Act like a girl and get a mosquito net for your bed.

A killing frost will take care of most of them, but the tough girls will last longer. Evolution at play, as noted.

Temperature report: The thermometer on my balcony says it is 12 degrees C/50 F, so we are getting close. Another week or two...

Ubiquitous stench of raw sewage anywhere and everywhere in South Korea and the persistence of year-round mosquitos. Hm? A coincidence or correlation?

Beneath this so-called industrialized nation lies a 3rd world Africa-like plumbing system that breeds generations & generations of mosquitos and Hepatitis.

Quality of life in Korea is good ...

Still waiting! Got bitten on the ear yesterday while I was asleep. Come on it's about 10 degrees outside. In any other country they'd be gone. Are they wearing very tiny little body warmers?
