I dunno....
The more pictures I find of her, the more disinterested in even hypothetically thinking of doing anything of her...
No thanks... |

she knows what she's doing and isn't shy
better than a wimpering virgin who just freezes up
fortysomething French women rather than pre-adolescent acting young Korean women
bring Madonna on !
that would be one great long interesting night
(i'd need some viagra i think)
here she is in early 2007:
her contemporary, 49-year-old Michelle Pfeiffer can join her:

Madonna is in great shape and she's still a fox. She's 49. I was into her 22 years ago and still am.
of course I prefer her like she was in 1984 but who doesn't?

She was too cheap-looking, eh. |

| I'd shag her for the status. I bet she'd rock it like there was no tomorrow. Of course there are a lot of women I'd choose before Madonna, but she is status. Serious status. |

When I was a little girl Madonna was just the shite. We all dressed like her and watched those damn marathons on mtv. She wasn't pretty or ugly, she was just COOL. She just was. She made you THINK. She remained cool well into the early 90's, then she kind of went away for a while. Britney wanted to kiss her, Christina wanted to BE her (and still dresses like her, in a way.)
I have no idea about sex appeal, or not. All I know is that she was a major fashion icon and one of the forces of the 80s. My older friends say that only the posers and the preppies liked her, but for little kids she was like all there was. I think the first time me and my friends listened to music in our rooms (not mtv, just playing music), it was her.
She's kind of like an icon thing, but it's hard to attach sex to that. In a weird way, as hard as she TRIED to be overtly sexy, it's not what she was about...it's not that she failed at it, nor succeeded at it, she was just more of a poet who made you think. |

Great post, Just4u. I love Madonna and she was my favourite artist as an adolescent. I remember a teacher asking me about my favourite singer and giving her name as my answer. I'd go bananas every time I saw her on tv, or heard her on the radio. I remained a fan until the mid 90s when she became really introspective for a while. her Ray of Light song and comeback in 1998 really turned things around and she refocused on the style of music she originally made with her first album. Maybe that was just her recognizing what works the best with her fan base but whatever. She's a high energy woman and I don't think she could settle for songs like "Rain" and "Take a Bow" for the rest of her career (though they were good songs).
For years she has been a force of nature, and I think that whether people like her on not, she deserves all the respect. Her stage shows are incredible and she may be the best concert performer in the world. Anyone who saw her Earth Day show in the UK this year was blown away, it was so good.
My posts in this thread so far have been very superficial but believe me, I have been a fan of Madonna for 23 years and I really admire her work.
