Ok, it's about 18 degrees outside, a really nice, sunny autumn day and the teachers are walking around in, teaching in and driving home in their winter jackets.
What's the biz here? Bad circulation? Hypothalamus problems? or are you all walking round in a beer skin suit as well. Not really bothered about it but teaching in a winter jacket to me seems a little bizarre. |

Wait until winter time when they have the heaters on full blast and all the windows open AND everyone is wearing their winter coats inside. |

I hate the winter and public transport. It's cold outside but when you get in a bus full of 40 or 50 people and the heating is set to full it kind of makes me want to die in there. |

SEASON OBUH! It's October, that means you wear a jacket. Duh! Temperature has nothing to do with it.
I am already having to jockey on the bus to try and get a seat next to a window. I can't stand the closed up bus with tons of people on it. I am prone to passing out if I get to warm in a stuffy place, so riding the bus to and from work in the winter is awful. |

If it's too hot in one of my classes, I just open the window. My students think I'm nuts, but I think they are too. So no problem. |

I had students with blankets back in July trying to counter the air-conditioning.It doesn't surprise me to see people in jackets and cardigans. They won't consider it warm until next May.
Korea is a nation of old people in waiting. |

Last winter it was so cold in my school that the teachers were teaching in coats, mufflers, hats, gloves, scarf/muffler across the face...it's awful! |

I had cold induced urticaria and Raynaud's Disease. I've been wearing a lightweight jacket for about 3 weeks now. |

Great, so it's a no win situation. In the summer you change your shirt three times because it gets soaked with sweat and in the winter, you pass out because it's so hot and stuffy and probably start sweating again.
Beginning to think that the slogan should be Korea Sweat! |

It's due to Klogic... they have to wear jackets - it's 'Fall'. It doesn't matter what the temperature is. Last week, all my co-teachers and students suddenly showed up dressed as if for an artic expedition even though it's still 25 degrees C outside.
It's the same with swimming. During my first year here, it was a hot (28 C) late September day when I asked my students if they would like to go swimming. They were mortified!... and explained to me they couldn't go swimming because swimming season was 'over'. |

Yes, there is something very definitely peculiar about this place and temperature. I've seen students (adults) sweating in the classroom and wearing their coats and they will still say it is 'cold' because it's winter. |

Earlier, I wore my leather jacket for the first time to get some smokes (around 11). Just started wearing jeans/pants and long shirts. |

Hehe
Im still teaching in short sleeves. My students look at me like I am nuts. Gotta see some of the looks I get around town too. In a month, my students will be asking to turn on the heater. |

Also found out that about three weeks ago most of my teachers packed away their summer clothes and brought out their autumn/winter clothes. Then complained because it warmed up that they had to put their winter clothes away and bring out their summer clothes again.
I would love to have this luxury. Maybe I'm just common because I wear the same clothes regardless of season. Woe is me! |
