Not really sure what a TV holder is, but I receive my hometown cable channels to my pc through the slingbox, and downloaded software. Ive been eye balling this slingbox technology for awhile, but was hesitant to buy it due to my spidey senses of a scam or poor quality. But ill tell ya, its legit and so far legal. Only further expense is the electicity cost of plugging it in, which is trivial. lovin it, had enough of the bs korean tv. |

So, when I hook the slingbox up to my TV back home...
a) Does the TV have to be on?
b) Does the computer have to be on?
c) My parents are like 80 years old, once I set it up, do they have to do anything every time I want to watch TV?

a. No, but according to my understanding you need Slingbox PRO, which I also have and costs alittle more expensive. But it allows you and a current resident of the home to watch tv at the same time and watch different channels. PRO has a tuner built in.
b. This is an interesting question and as of now im not sure, as my mom's pc is always on.
c. Once your set up, your ready to go and unless you incur some unforeseen problem, no extra setup is necessary. But if an 80 year old is going to set it up for you need all the luck you can get. |
