Help a noob out. Any information or input is appreciated. Thanks!

Location: Suwon

� 2,400,000 KRW per month for 120 teaching hours
� Full airfare reimbursement (maximum up to 1,000,000 Korean Won each way)
� Free Semi-Furnished housing (rent only; utilities and other monthly maintenance fees responsibility of the tenant)
� 500,000 Relocation Bonus
� 50/50 medical insurance and pension
� 1 month severance pay at end of 1-year contract
� E-2 visa sponsorship and airfare for visa run if needed
� 15 Days of paid vacation per year


Location: Songpa, Seoul

� 32,000 KRW per hour (guaranteed 24 teaching hours per week minimum)
� Airfare reimbursement of up to 1,000,000 KRW
� Up to 5,000,000 KRW key money deposit loan
� E-2 visa sponsorship and visa run airfare
� 7 days vacation per year

Both are pretty good I think. Suwon's not terribly far from Seoul and that's alright pay (how are the hours though?)

#2 sounds like a CDI contract. Many threads examine the pros and cons but that hourly pa seems alright. Keep in mind those 7 day vacations will be unpaid and you will most likely work on any Korean (red day) holidays.

Anyway look around for a thread where you can post contracts and put the entire texts up on that one.

I'd take the Suwon job but oonly because they provide housing. Do you really want to be looking for an apartment when you are new to the country and do not speak the language? Besides, 5,000,000 is nothing for key money.

Good point. 5,000,000 is low - would you be willing to add 5,000,000 of your own money to get some housing though?

Songpa, I believe, is not the most expensive place to live in Seoul either. I think it could be doable.
