| I am running out of oatmeal. It is no where to be found where I live. I do not want to have any sent, as I am leaving soon. Is there some other kind of whole grain I can buy here to use as cooked cereal? |

| How about the instant oatmeal? You can get a box of it at Costco for 17000 won which gives you 55 packets of different flavours. The plain stuff is just that in m opinion, too plain. Good luck... |

I couldn't get used to the taste of the oatmeal available here at all.
Tempted to try Quakers though, especially through the winter mornings!
Will probably buy online as no Costco near Suwon.
At the moment I buy Tesco (Homeuhprusuu) Wholewheat and fibre/fruit? stuff. It is delicious with milk, warmed in the micro for 25 secs.
Many people post what they are listening too, how about posting what we are eating??? |

I can not get to Costco. I do not have a membership, and none of my friends do. I also live on the east coast; no costco.
I do not want to buy oatmeal on line. I just like the old fashioned plain stuff, no fruit, no cinnamon, nothing sweet. Just oatmeal with salt
I was just wondering if there is some kind of grain I can grind up and then cook with water.
I have bought the "Post Whole and All", but that also is sweet.
I will be in Seoul the 2nd week in November, and I will go into the Foreign Food Market and buy for 5,000 a box of Quaker Oats.
And what am I listening to? Internet radio. And what am I eating? Granola. But I am running out of oatmeal, and that means I can't make granola anymore....(and yes, that is sweet)
thanks all. |

In the larger supermarkets, there is a section for whole grain cereals,
but they are cheaper at the open air market.
My favorite is 찰기장, or just 기장 (yellow millet).
You can boil any one of those cereals and add salt.
I like 기장 better after running it through the blender, but you can try it both ways. |
