Hi,
I am due to arrive in Seoul in a couple of weeks.
I have no job lined up (for a number of reasons), so my options are wide open.
My first plan is to head south to Kwangju (in south west) where i have Korean friends waiting for me.
How cheap/easy is it to take a train or bus from Seoul to kwangju?
Is it just as cheap to fly? (i can get from Seoul to Busan as part of a flight deal for a small cost)
Also (so far anyway) the cities i am interested in are Busan and Kwangju. How easy is it to travel between/check out jobs in multiple cities?
Thanks for any advice

Catch the bus from the airport (Incheon) direct to the express bus terminal in Kwangju.
Leaves from stop 9C (out door 9 - arrivals level). cost is 32,000 won (34,000 for the midnight departure). Travel time is 240 minutes.
2 departures every hour - 10 to and 20 past the hour.
Travel between the 2 cities is also just as easy.

It doesn't hurt to look at the job boards and talk to some recruiters before you leave. Get some interests and interviews lined up before you leave, it'll save a you a few days when you are here.
Buses from the Incheon or Seoul bus terminals are cheaper than buses from the airport, but you will have the added cost and headache of getting to those terminals from the airport. |
