Myself and a Korean teacher are stumped by this one. Anyone able to shed any light on which term is correct.
"I know that what's holding people back from feeling great is this ability to control habits, see their goals clearly and be highly motivated."
Should ability be changed to inability, or is it ok how it is? My gut feeling is that is that it's ok how it is. |

It should be "inability." It is what is holding them back. If they had the ability "to control habits, see their goals clearly and be highly motivated" they would feel great.
But their inability "to control habits, see their goals clearly and be highly motivated" is what is holding them back. |

Or:
"I know that what's holding people back from feeling great is the lack of ability to control habits, see their goals clearly and be highly motivated."
But just using inability is clearer. |
