Oops... got a little off topic. So in Pohang.. did you ever meet or see any Filipinos?

Actually Tiger Beer, there are alot of Filipinos in the fishing villages around Pohang. I see them on the bus in my area every now and again.

I did actually meet one filipino in POHANG. It was really cool because he was a sailor and had been to my hometown in New Zealand. He told me he stole some shellfish from there, but then apologised and bought me a beer.

yeah the traffic here is pure chaos, but I like the jeepneys. I am a big fan of customized vans though. I actually saw the introduction of production line 4wd's for suburbanites and the subsequent death of the customised van as a paradigm shift in conciousness away from secular individualism toward a more homogenised consumer society.

Keep on customising.

Just moved hotels for my last night in cebu. I'm now staying at the aptly named kiwi lodge. Its has a big bar area and many expats staying so will plug in tonight for tales of the Phillipines.

dogbert, Pohang is the city thats on the wrong side of the wrong side of the tracks, one street back from desolation row, a cul de sac off lonely street.

Princess, I'm now incessantly surrounded by exotic beauties but you're still the hottest hottie ever, not like that fat limey Hannah...... oops did I post her name. Dan when you off, and all the best for Thailand.
Have a great party at b's on saturday, don't invite the subway guy.

They teach those big words in NewZealand?

On Nov 8 my girlfriend and I goto HongKong for the Santana-Rolling Stones-Niel Young concert then to Bangkok and Phuket for ten days. Then she goes home (to Pohang) and I go to Teacher School. Lord knows I need it.

I've now put the finishing touches on my cossie for the festivities at Mr. B's on Saturday night...
I think I've taken "hot" to a whole new level...really kicked it up a notch with this outfit.

justaskdan...see you this weekend? watch your shoes.
wtf...focus on the positives in life (Long teas) and drunken road trips to Ulsan to support the all-mighty Steelers.

er the big word thingee, what I mean is customised vans are pimpin and should not be relics of the 70's.
Dan, didn't the stones pull outta that gig?

went out on the town last night. Tiger, you told me they could sing, but neglected to tell me they can dance.......and oh can they dance.
So am on an island off bohol now, good to be outta the ratrace, and am just about to get my feet wet.
Spoke with many expats last night and their 18 year old filipino girlfriends (isn't it wonderful that true love holds no age barriers Wink ).
Such a small world as one of them was my old bank manager from NZ, no bull. He was well shamed, I'm so gonna get that mortgage with no deposit now!! assar
None of them wanted to come night clubbing with me as I think they were going to watch a ladies table tennis tournament. They were off somewhere mumbling about chicks and ping pong balls.
I have seen no young travellers yet......weird.
Phogan is an anagram of Pohang....mmmmm very clever I think.
