the transvestite hooked him up with little boys. Now, the only question is which prison system is less likely to see an abuser killed in prison - Canada or thailand?

** The posters who are getting angry about our Chris Neil chat... I have one thing to say to you all. You're Canadians!

Canadians are not perfect. It's eating up Canadians that Chris Neil, a Canuck, is showing the world that Canadians can be monsters. So, angry posters, please identify your nationality before you rant about how bad our posts are.

Why in the sweet hell would someone go to all of the trouble to doctor photographs of some random EFL teacher having sex with kids? He was just an unfortunate victim of an Interpol google search?

Douchebag did it. Douchebag goes to jail. His family's sadness is not relevant.

He's denying any crime in Thailand, because he's in Thailand and caught by Thai police. Which could be true. The only countries they mentioned while they were looking for him were Vietnam and Laos, simple as that. If he denied any crime in Vietnam and Laos, then that would be news.

But he will probably deny it once he reaches Canada.

Like I've said from the start, looks like 2 or 3 different guys from those photos. Does our man in BKK really look like the guy in those Interpol photos? The swirly-face dark-hairy-chested dude, I mean? And now even our man's denying that he's the guy everyone's looking for. I thought for sure he'd 'fess up straight off. But no.

So, I guess it's back to Square One now, and on with the hunt for the real paedophile, right?

Surely they can use facial recognition technology? Like what they used to identify the London Underground bombers.

"Facial recognition systems are computer-based security systems that are able to automatically detect and identify human faces. These systems depend on a recognition algorithm, such as eigenface or the hidden Markov model. The first step for a facial recognition system is to recognize a human face and extract it fro the rest of the scene. Next, the system measures nodal points on the face, such as the distance between the eyes, the shape of the cheekbones and other distinguishable features.

Of course I was just being irksome, and I know the experts have done/will do more than just 'eyeball' the I.D. on this guy. Still, it's almost like a study in how different a person can look from photo to photo, and how radically a few short years can alter some people's appearance. Talk about "the ravages of time", jeez...

In addition to facial recognition technology, they also have eyewitnesses ready to ID him now, as well as people in half a dozen countries scouring their photo albums for the years 2000~present. Whatever year those Interpol pics were snapped, they'll surely not be the only photos of that guy taken in that year. And presumably additional photos from other sources will help 'fill in the gaps', so to speak, between the small handful of often very dissimilar photos the authorities currently have.
