I went over to Top Salsa Club in Apgujeong this last Saturday (i.e. last night). Finally....they're starting to get a crowd. I had a great time.
The club is huge and their DJ plays really good music. Since it is the largest salsa club in Seoul, it's nowhere near full yet but I actually like that.
I'll be over there at 8 pm. again next Saturday giving a free casino rueda style salsa lesson to the members of www.koreacarrusels.com and http://salsa.meetup.com/343/ (which are sorta one in the same organizations).
The lessons are free.....just something I'm doing to spread the joy of that particular style of salsa. If you want to see what it looks like go to YouTube.com and put 'casino rueda' in the search box. You'll see tons of videos. Make your own decision.
Gimme a call at 010 9122 0895 if you have any questions.
Best regards,
Art

| Surely there are better ways for free advertisement? No? Then keep posting away... |

| I'm so sorry I missed the outing to Top. I went to a place called Turn, here in Suwon, this past Thursday though and had a lot of fun. It's a very small club, but a friendly crowd. |

So what's the mix like? All Koreans or are there a lot of foreigners or mostly expat South Americans?
Do they have classes at the club? I did some very basic ones back home but that's over a year ago now and I'm rusty!
If it's not too expensive I could be tempted to start again. |

| It was mostly Koreans. I'm from the U.S. and there was a German woman there, but I don't remember seeing any other noticeable foreigners. There was a lesson ending as we arrived, and it looked like maybe an advanced beginner level. There were more men than women (which worked out nicely for me). There were a few quite good leaders, and a lot of not bad ones. |
