All total, coalition forces estimate that 49 criminals were killed in three separate engagements during this operation. Ground forces reported they were unaware of any innocent civilians being killed as a result of this operation, the military said in the updated statement.

Murder implies the act occurred under the jurisdiction of a state/clan/family structure under which is a rule of law.

Killing is what happens in the state of nature.

Since there is no rule of law much less any real jurisdiction between warring states, there is no proper murder. At least not until perhaps a victor declares that the loser's soldiers were 'murderers.'

Even the supposed international authority, the UN, recognizes the Geneva Conventions, which permits killing under genuine circumstances of war.

I like that you are leaving something very important out.................Iraqi's are being murdered by other Iraqi's. Now, please post a credible source in which it states 1,000,000 Iraqi civilians have been murdered, especially by "multinational forces".

So the Geneva Convention condones killings under the pretext of "legitimate" acts of war? Really?
Whooooo-hooooo! Let the good times roll.

What of foreign occupation / invasion?

Iraqis did it! Americans did it!

THOU SHALT NOT KILL Idea

Bottom line is what policies have led to this state? Whose policies?

Utter criminals & despots. The foul stench of hypocrisy Twisted Evil

Not that this is the same situation, but apparently you have not read the book of Joshua.

Dear IGTG,

"For more than a century, ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as 'internationalists' and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure - one world, if you will. If that is the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it."

Sincerely Your Friend, David Rockefellar

DMFAN:

It doesn't matter whether the Yanks did it or Iraqis, or Saddam ... or whoever.

THOU SHALT NOT KILL (it's VERY BAD KARMA) Idea

Are you unable to grasp this elementary principle?

People have been killed. 1 person. 10? 1000? 500,000? It's beside the point.

Bottom line once any state-sanctioned violence is enacted:

WHOSE POLICIES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE KILLINGS?

Nope, no WAR CRIMES here folks Rolling Eyes

Thats is now two posts you have dodged.......you are on a roll here, my man!

Yeah, people have been killed. Nobody is arguing that.

Whose policies are responsible?
OH lets see...........

1. The UN......for doing NOTHING BUT IMPOSING "SANCTIONS" in Iraq for 12 years, while Saddam and his government just laughed (I've pointed this out before, but you have igonored it).

2. Saddam.....for taking over power, killing his own people, WAR CRIMES, developoing and storing WMD's (he had them, man.)

3. "Sit on the sideline coutnries."....becaue there were/are three in particular who would have been completely exposed for what they were doing in Iraq (I have posted about that as well, but you chose to ignore it.......or did not see it).

4. Apathy.

5. The media.

NOW, that things are getting into positive motion, the UN wants to come in and help...........while calling it a "mulitnational force".....LOL!

The proper translation is, "Thou shalt not murder."

God urged plenty of killings in the Bible.

Your Hebrew needs work.

What you should feel badly about is the unnecessary deaths. The US policy on engagement has been to shoot first, ask later. Literally. There is little or no concern about collateral damage, and that is a huge problem. As has been said by many military men who have led and or fought in Iraq, you have to win the hearts and minds. Ignoring that has led to the quagmire we have now.

I feel bad about the deaths, but if Islamic terrorists are going to attack my nation just like nazi/ japanese facists tried to do in WW2, then should I let them ?

I don't want war, but if the nations of the liberals give in to Islam, then I will attack the Islamics as I can not live under an extremist state of islam.

I will not give in. I will fight for my rights and Islamic fundamentalists can't win just because they want too. Its not a hatred of innocents, its a hatred of slavery I hold in my heart.

Keep well. But I won't give in to a dictatorship. I will fight.

I understand that makes me an extremist, but so what?

Ok, this is BS.

If we are arguing this then we are the guilty party in WW1 and WW2.

Yet, would we have been the better off if we had lost?

Personally, war sucks, but facism, nationalism and currently Islamism as a political system sucks worse.

Therefore should I feel bad? I have listened to those who have suffered in WW2 and they would not want to live today in a world that was similar to their world then.

If they wouldn't Why should you or me?

Why is it always WW2 this and WW2 that? You think WW2 gives America a free pass to fight anyone from now on.

Anyone with an ounce of historical perspective, or just common sense, has to laugh at the idea that the threat from Iraq even remotely compares to the threat from Nazi Germany. Can't you differentiate?

P.S. It is not America I have a beef with. It is this dumb WW2 argument that crops up over and over again.
