|
|
The biggest online TV website in the world got busted and shut-down
by the Gloucestershire Constabulary. (losers)
http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/technology/2007/10/20/tv_links_shut_down_for_linking_.html
I used that site a lot! It would have taken several lifetimes to watch
all the stuff they had on there. I was four-sixths of the way through
the series on the history of steam locomotives! Pisss me off!
However, it seems they rattled cages because of CAM releases of
recent movies.
So, now try:
http://www.pazoena.com/ An identical, but un-updated mirror.
http://www.guba.com Lots of Gilligan's Island!
http://www.vid2c.com/ An admirable site worth exploring.
Funny thing is I would gladly pay a nominal fee to watch my favourite
shows from the distant past, but the higher echelons of corporate
media seem to be made of stone and have considerable, albeit,
out-of-touch-with-the-common-people inertia. |

Ah, one thing I should mention, Internet Explorer 7 has a lot of
weird stuff in it to filter media that does not conform to the jacket-and-tie
mentality of entertainment. Try Mozilla Firefox. |

and fanpop.com. It's alittle less user friendly, but you can still search for whatever you want. It links to anotehr site for the videos, so you have to hope the other site hasn't been shut down though. |

I would also pay for such a service, and I'm sure so would a great many people. I'm always confounded at how terrible entertainment distributors are at adapting to the new technology. The whackjob decisions (like music files with certificates and at full price of a regular CD) must be made by old men who can't wrap their heads around newer economic and entertainment access models and won't hear a word of what the young know-it-alls have to say. |
