|
|
Hello,
I am in Seoul at the moment and was wondering if anyone had some ideas on fun things my daughter and I can do together. We went to "Seoul childrens park" (or something like that, can't remember the exact name) yesterday. I do plan to visit Lotte World, the COEX aquarium, but other than that I do not have any other great ideas...
If anyone has any good places that they know of I would most certainly appreciate it.
Thanks,
W. |

Everland is much better than Lotte World. There are buses that go there from all over. |

| Ooh ooh yes you must go to Everland!!! They have water rides, many rollercoasters, good caramel popcorn and cotton candy, cute bunny ears and other animal ears you can buy to wear, and an african safari tour that includes LYGERS (half lion, half tiger)! |

Thanks,
I will be sure to check out Everland, but will probably pass on the water rides unless it warms up just a tad
Thanks again,
W. |

Is there a monthly cash prize awarded from Dave for the poster with the highest post count? I really cannot think of any other reason for you to have posted this... |

Apparently it accomplished you thinking I am an ass
Do you think that viking horns was a serious suggestion on things for my daughter and I to do in Seoul? Do you think maybe it was just posted in order to try (the key word here is try) to be funny?
I have read through a lot of the posts here in the Korea forum, trying to gain some info on things in general here. I have been able to keep myself from posting to them as I have nothing to contribute/add/ask to the discussions. That seems to be a rarity here as far as I can tell...
If you want to keep your great idea to yourself then feel free. If you want to think I'm an ass, no problem, I still can't help but think there must be some sort of cash award though |

There's a 'butterfly festival' being held this week and next somewhere down south. Apparently, migrating butterflies pass through this place while on their way to warmer climates.
I'm sure you can find the info online. |

I just remembered some other cool places. Hyehwa University district, near the subway station, has about a half kilometre of sidewalk that is filled with various whimsical art installation pieces shaped like worms, rabbits and other cool things, that are climbeable and interesting. You could spend a good hour or two there taking pics and playing on/around the contraptions.
Also, the 'petshop' street in Seoul is good (I don't remember the address.. it's somewhere along the big canal). Just dozens of stores selling chipmunks and mini turtles.. might be interesting if you don't mind seeing animals in captivity. |

How large is this? At the Seoul childrens park there was a small (but free!!!) zoo area and my daughter enjoyed it. 1 thing was odd though, the elephant there kept banging his trunk/head into a large rock over and over and over. I wondered if the animals there were taken care of properly.
Thanks,
W. |

The Hyehwa thing sounds really great. Sounds like something she would love, and something I would never find in a Seoul guidebook. I will also try the petshop street, I am here for a month, so plenty of time
Thanks again,
