Does anyone have any ideas of schools that I could look in to that are not stupidly ignorant against Black people? I've decided to do one more year in Korea, but I've also decided that it's got to be the best. It'll be my fourth year, so yes I speak the language, among other Korean things. Anyone? I still have a bit of Korea in left in me, so I think one more year will be sufficient, and then I'll go someplace else, or return to my wonderful city of Ottawa. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Go public school. They SEEM (emphasis, seem) to have less problems hiring non-whites and kyopos.

Are you interested in working
in a hagwon
in the country
or in a small city?

My first job in Korea was with Mr Shin and his wife Ms Lee at one of their schools, they have two. They are focused on business and education. they don't cheat, lie or steal and they are interested in a person's ability to teach and fit in, rather than any arbitrary racial or ethnic profile.

If you want more details PM me and I'll put you in touch

My boss is colourblind when it comes to hiring. All that matters is qualifications, and passion for teaching. These employers are out there...

Universities as well. It's all about qualifications and if you are a good teacher or not.

The hogwans are generally revenue-oriented popularity clown-fest something-or-anothers that place very little real focus on actual teaching and all about a person being physically appealing enough to be loved by kids AND their parents despite not having teaching skills or abilities.
