| Ethically I think it's wrong to withhold information like that, especially if it is a close family member. Am I the only one who would be pissed if this happened to them? |

Though there is a difference between family members and managers. Managers have no right ... Some things are more important than a performance.

From what a friend told me, she finds the greatest comfort in reflective surfaces. Then again, she's profesionally hot for a living, so I guess it pays to take care of the goods. |

Mina's in her mid-30s, so there's no reason to keep that information from her. It's quite cruel, and I'd be pretty pissed were that to happen to me.
It's a little different than tzechuk's situation, where parents were absolutely acting with her best interests in mind. (sucks to be kept in the dark, though, and it can feel insulting.) Anyway, my friend died a week before finals week, and I bombed several of my tests and assignments, and really screwed up my semester. I think my life would've turned out pretty differently had I not messed up so poorly those two weeks. |

In the entertainment idustry, your manager controls everything. Your manager's sole purpose in life is to make/keep you successful. A lot of times, managers do overstep their bounds in the best "interest of your career."
Thats just the way the entertainment idustry is. |
