The final payment from my previous job went wrong and I got paid several mil more than I should have been. Then I went and spent it. 
Can I get arrested/blacklisted for that?
Does anyone know of the legalities of spending money that appears in you account? |

Close that account NOW! If you have any money in there take it out.
Once money goes into your account it should not be reversed without your permission.
However it does happen. Bank Manager may be a buddy of your employer.
Debts are near impossible to collect in Korea. |

It really depends on your intentions in this situation. If you intend to keep it, then do as the previous poster said. If you plan to pay them back, then contact them and tell them that.

| Pretty clear you took the money..they do have records. Easy to get police to contact you for the money...wait till the person who sent the money calls you and then give it back. |

Really? What are you basing this inside information on? Is this just a Korean banking phenomenom, or does this happen in other parts of the world? I am positive that you are liable in my state in America for those funds if they are not owed to you justifiably. The bank might accept some responsibilty in the matter, but I doubt it. Do the right thing. |

It was the OPs money, even if by mistake. If you found a check made out to you in your mailbox, that would be your money, even if it was by mistake.
Take a judgment call here OP: Legal issues and respectability of the previous employer. Can he prove it was a mistake and was he a good boss? Or is it hearsay and did the boss ever screw you over? |
