Hi.

I have gotten many great restaurant recommendations from these boards, so I figure it's my turn to share the wealth. I'm sorry if someone already made a post about this place.

It's right behind gangam cgv at gangnam station and it's pretty damn tasty. I personally like it better than Dos Tacos. It's slighty more pricey though (9,000 for a burrito, 7,000 for 3 tacos). I tried the burrito, taco, and nachos, and they were all excellent.

The owner learned his craft from the states and he speaks both english and spanish. There is a Mexican guy manning the grill as well so it tastes pretty "authentic".

Anyways, show some love so the place can stay open Razz

Could you give more detailed directions? Most importantly, which subway exit would I take to get headed in the right direction?

IMO it's not very good at all.

chicken burrito - soggy, bland. Extra hot chilli sauce, bland, fresh torilla chips - okish, salsa - bland bland bland.

Chicken fajita (I think it was) - bland bland

Service - excellent. Nice guy, nice waitress, very friendly

Decor - OK but upstairs has no windows.

Went there at Chuesok.

From the 5002 Busstop at Gangnam go straight over the road at the crossing and up the hill. It's on the left.

bland? really? I thought it was good.

they give you three different types of sauce and they have fresh salsa.

plus i like the fact you can sit right by the grill and watch your food being made.

i still think it's better than dos tacos, but that's just me. I think one poster said it best on a different thread that talking about mexican restaurants in korea is like a pissing contest.

Three sauces were not very special.

The salsa was flavourless.

The meal was filling, they gave the missus a doggy bag to take home the remains of her burrito or whatever it was she ate.

I just don't feel that it was a very good meal. 24k for the two of us to eat a below average meal.

I haven't tried the other place you mentioned but if you think it's worse than Urbanos I won't be going there.

There's another Mexican place very close by-- the food is fantastic and the prices are good. I heart "Dos Tacos." My favourite is the hearty potato burrito, for 5,500 won. Sodas are refillable.

Go out exit 6 at Gangnam Station, and go straight, past 2 Body Shops. Before you reach Kyobo Tower, you'll see a sign on the sidewalk. Turn left down the little walkway and you'll see it.

Walk straight out of Exit 7 from Gangnam Stn, until you see CGV, then go around to the back.
