So was asked if I wanted to participate in a essay contest from EPIK today.. the whole Describe your Korean experience.. My first thought was wondering who they are trying to setup with this one? I mean if people actually described their experiences here would make for a hell of a book...

i wouldn't do it just because i get the feeling they are doing this for publicity/recruiting other foreign teachers, not to find out about your actual experiences here. if your essay mentions anything that isn't 100% positive i doubt they'd consider/use it in the "contest" |

I just got the details on this. They want the following.
Our experience in adjusting to korean customs, overcoming cultural barriers and conflicts with K-teachers and students.
Ways to improve English education..
minimum 3 pages.
now my hope is that if they do this and people do answer honestly they actually use it and put it to some good use. |

Do you think they're going to take the essays that describe fair outcomes to conflicts and even comprimises to adjusting to Korean customs? |
