Just putting this out there.
There will be an Anti-War protest on Sunday the 28th October meeting at 3pm at Seoul Station.
Don't know much else, but thought some people might find this interesting. Be aware of "Visa issues." I am sure someone will have strong opinions on this, so will leave it at this point. |

Who's sponsoring this?
The police expect to know about stuff like this a couple days in advance.
If somone has a beef with some public issue & wants to put on a demonstration, protest, vigil of some sort, for it to technically be "LEGAL", apparently citizens are expected to request state permission, & in turn be granted a licence to gather in anything more than assemblies of ... 1
If it's "LEGAL" ( i.e. receives the state's blessing ) why should anyone worry about VISA strangeness?
For what it's worth, i also saw on CNN just yesterday that No-Moo-Hyun has no plans to bring Korea's troops home
any time soon |

You don't have to show em' nothing.
They might ask probing & invasive questions, try to make you feel obligated or pressured. IS not the "gathering" illegal? Don't fall for this pattened old ruse, get THEIR personal info.
You're under no obligation to say anything.

An anti-war protestor, with red paint on her hands, jumps up in front of Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice before Rice testifies before the House Foreign Affairs Committee on Capitol Hill in Washington October 24, 2007. At right is the committee Chairman Rep. Tom Lantos (D-CA). |

Just out of curiosity, are you able to:
A) Ensure that all documents are filled out correctly for such an event?
B) Have the language skills on hand to be able to ensure your rights?
I'm guesing that forthe majority of people onthis board, it'd be a big NO to both of those. |

Seems strange to have an anti-war protest in Korea on America invading Iraq.
Like who's going to see it or care with it being so far from Americas decision makers? And then, they just do whatever the hell they want in their ambitions to get it set up where they can suck Iraq for it's oil laying underneath her. It's their economic policy strategy that is not quite working out as planned. In theory, if America can secure the oil wells and Iraq itself, then gas prices go down and the American economy hums right along producing jobs and wealth.
Now Iran is an iffy situation as they claim to have nukes and will fire thousands of them off if America attacks or invades while America is poised to do something militarily with Iran. Oh dear... |
