AUDITIONS!!
For a kids show 'Brush Your Teeth', produced by Theatre Seoul.
Auditions in Daehangno (Hyewha Stn.)
Oct. 31 (Wed) 5:00-6:30pm
Nov. 3 (Sat) 12:30-2:00pm
Callbacks:
Nov. 7 (Wed) 7:30-9:00pm
Need:
4 actors, at least 1 woman and at least 1 man.
Roles:
Prince Charming
Sleeping Beauty
Villian
Steward
Teeth
Cavities
Story:
A Prince with dirty teeth and bad breath wants to marry Sleeping Beauty, but she won't until he learns proper dental hygiene. Simple singing, chanting, simple dancing and audience interaction involved. The show will be in simple English, with lots of physical comedy. It will be intended for Korean families and Hagwon student groups.
Dates:
Rehearsals in Daehangno (Hyewha Stn.) Dec. 3-18, during the day and dependent on people's schedules
Break Dec. 19-Jan 1
Rehearsals in Daehangno (Hyewha Stn.) Jan. 2- 7, during the day and dependent on people's schedules
Tech Rehearsals Jan. 8-9 longer hrs, TBA
Performances in Daehangno (Hyewha Stn.) Jan 10-27, Mondays off, shows Tues-Fri @ 11am and 2pm, shows Sat-Sun @ 2pm and 5pm, call is 90 mins before curtain.
Pay:
1,500,000 won
Visa:
C4 visa (valid for 3 months)
Paid visa run

Auditions will require cold readings, movement and a short easy song. Show has the potential to be shown repeatedly in Seoul and other Korean cities in Feb., May, and Dec., as well as potentially going to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August. |

Not to knock the show, but just so you know:
2 months, even with a break, for 1.5 million won is not anything a valid teacher would take. You are going to get people not able to teach legally, and even those are probably going to teach privates for more money.
Koreans brush their teeth like there's gold under the enamel. They don't need any more education about it.
It's "Hyehwa," not "Hyewha," but I do the same thing sometimes.
You should focus on getting volunteers that already live here on an E-2 or F series visa, but don't require them to do all the dates and shows. You can pay the F's and you can help the E-2's get volunteer clearance thru immigration and something to put on their resume. There may be some market for people who want to visit Seoul while doing other things, but a lot of those people aren't gong to be in country.
