Im interested in getting a proper teachers certificate in the United States. Im looking for an online program in Elementary Education. Does anybody have any recommendations? Thanks

Drexel does it. It also does some add-on endorsements.

You better check into the states that actually accept an "online education" degree as being credible and acceptible. I can't imagine that those degrees hold any merit. What do I know though? Good luck!

Drexel University is far from being a diploma mill....
And if you go to www.CHEA.org you will find that they are regionally acredited.
But yeah, check out if this online teaching cert. would be accepted anywhere outside PA...

I can't imagine any online teaching certificate would be worth anything in the US. You might be able to do the coursework that way, but to get a credential you have to do a semester of student teaching. No way around it.

Many states have fast track programs which make getting a certificate fairly easy. For straight Elementary level it is a bit more difficult since there are more people holding this certificate. Math and science are the highest need and are the easiest to get.
Usually, you do a summer semester in the evening, get a provisional license and are able to teach full time come September. You continue to take classes in the evening, maybe once a week, and after 2 years the provisional license becomes a full time license.
I did this in New Jersey for middle school science, but my provisional license will expire, due to being in Korea. The school cost about $2,000.

I have a real teachers degree, but I want a fake one from Harvard to show my students. Where can I get one of the fake ones.

That's fairly easy also, if you got your degree from a Korean university, it is almost as good as a fake one from the US or Canada Wink

i've been getting emails a lot from these guys

http://www.wgu.edu/index.asp

most of the program is online, I believe

you might also want to do a web search for Passport to Teaching

or check out a 1 year alternative cert. program

there are many in Texas, & in cities that recruit heavily for teachers

such as Miami, Oakland etc...
