Friend has a trojan or something, AV keeps giving attack alerts but can't find anything. Here's the HiJackThis log, if anyone knows what to look for or can send it to someone who does, that would be appreciated. Thanks!

Did you run a scan in safe mode?
Did you check the Symantec website? |

I don't think she knows how to get to safe mode. (If anyone has a toshiba laptop and knows what button it is, let me know....)
If someone with the knowhow could take a look at the HJT log that would be best... |

it's a windows thing, after the BIOS has booted up, pressing F8 a couple of times should bring you the boot menu. from there you can pick safe mode. |

Tell her to download Prex 1 - it's the only antimalware I have found that really does it job. Removed a pesky trojan from my windows box that wouldn't shift with other programs. |

If tapping the F8 key doesn't work when booting up to get into safe-mode, power down the computer while it's booting up another time. After you power back up, it should give you the option to enter safe-mode to do your scans.
You could also post your HJT log here...

...after you create an acct. They're a little slow, but pretty good at getting problems off of computers. |
