Vegetable Juice. I've just discovered this, its awesome.
1.9 litres = 7, 800 won in Itaewan, is that cheap or expensive, I have no idea, haven't seen it back home before. Is it American? And does anyone know is it full of additives or not? Seems too good to be true, to get your daily dose of vegetables in a glass at once~I was going to buy a blender, but can't be bothered with buying, carrying, washing, slicing, dicing all the vegetables, not to mention the mess, when I can just open a bottle!

Anyway its good and so healthy, perfect breakfast in summer...

Compared to prices in the U.S., that's very high. But of course, it's imported which makes it more expensive. I believe it is an American product. It's wholesome, with the only knock on it being its salt content. However, it makes a great bloody mary.

As for additives I was going to mention that the one thing missing was the vodka, but the previous poster so presciently mentioned this already.

That sounds about twice as expensive as it should be, and maybe three times as expensive as it would be for the same product in the U. S. (yes, it's an American product).

The salt content is high, and the price is expensive; and you might not be able to find it easily for much less here in Korea. The Korean taste favors the sweet-flavored tomato juice (that's no good for Bloody Marys...they turn out to be bloody crap!). There are several different Korean brands of tomato juice, but all are sweet flavored (as far as I have tested).

However, I got a lucky break one day when the local E-Mart was clearing-out its American-style (i.e., salty-flavored) tomato juice (also V8, I think). They sold 1 liter bottles for 1,000 won each. I bought each of the dozen or so bottles they had on the shelf.

By the way, the Uzbek restaurant (called "Bihara", but it's only written in the Cryllic script on the sign outside the shop) around Dongdaemoon Stadium serves the salty-flavored tomato juice, also.

DAMN.... I got all excited about the thread title, and had a fleeting dream that someone has found a proper car with a proper V8!!

Does V8 in Korea taste like regular V8 or is it extra sweet like everything else? I have a bloody mary mix and I don't want to waste it on sweet tomato juice. And V8 is a little expensive just to buy a bottle to see if it's good.

Wow, the thread made it this far without anyone acknowledging that tomato juice drinks taste like sh*t!

V8 is great and is available at COSTCO, too. It is a bit salty, but I like it. They also make a low-salt version of the drink, but it may not be available here in Korea. I hate the sweet tomato juice/drinks they have here.
