Would that be Northeast Korea? I still haven't been up there or north of Seoul.

There's countless parks, rivers and mountains. I think Seoraksan and the Sokcho area would be my pic as you have mountains, rivers and the beach. But I personally wouldn't live somewhere so far out in Korea. I love Seoul and just hop on a bus to get to the mountains, rivers and beach, or I ride a motorcycle there.

Southcentral South Korea.

The town I'm in is alongside the beautiful Seomjin river in a fertile green valley smack between the mountains of Jiri National Park and the beaches of Namhae Island, a mere twenty minutes each way.

Check out my town in my signature photo.

(Lots of such nice rural towns that still have express buses to major cities, in this case, two hours from Busan, four hours fifteen minutes from Seoul for trips every two or three months - which is more than enough for this non-metropolis man)

I'm in Namyangju. My apartment is nicely situated and Suraksen Mountain is a hop, skip and a jump from my door. It's actually really beautiful.

People say that Namyangju is one of the cleanest places to live in Korea but I don't know about that. It is really close to Seoul but still surrounded by mountains and hills.

yeah, it is pretty nice here in Gangwon do. No shortage of hiking, bicycling, and outdoorsy stuff to do...

The public school I work for is hiring my replacement right now! This could be your chance.

Gangwon-do is awesome. I was there for a year. I highly recommend it.
