For those of you who watch Korean movies, what is it about Korean movies in general that you like? Don't like? Some of your favorite movies? Least favorite?

And for those that are familiar with Korean actors and directors, who are some of your favorites?

I like a few. I guess you could say they are about 50/50 with me. From what I have seen, at least.

I have found the acting to be pretty believable. But subtle things in the language, I would never pick up on at my level.

I like the stories the first time I watch them. The 2nd time (as many are rehashed), not much.

The romance/dramas are not bad. The actions leave something to be desired. The comedies are totally trash. And the historical flicks would be good if they told the truth.

Peppermint Candy, Oasis, Spring Summer Fall Winter, and of course Old Boy are some of my favorites.

I like Mapo Island 1 and 2 as well - mainly for the swearing. Korean ajummas have it down when it comes to foul language. I like the look on their faces and the sound. Plus it makes me laugh and laugh.

Korean movies are the best at depressing the hell out of someone.
