Hello,
I need to get a ticket from Taiwan to Korea. Anybody know good places to look?
Secondly, I am considering whether I should get a roundtrip or one way (my intention is to stay and get a job)? I know your supposed to have a R-trip. Anybody ever get in in on a one way ticket? I'll be applying for a visitor visa there.
I looked at Korean Air but the site was all funky and wouldn't give me a prices....
Thanks! |

Where are you? In Taiwan?? Dont they have travel agents?? You can do Expedia or Travelocity. Also we just got our tickets out of Korea to Australia on Singapore airlines. You can use their website to get an eticket with your credit card. I dont know if they have a leg from TW to KR. |

Just got back from doing a visa run to taipei. I paid only 315000 won including tax return on EVA air. I booked online on evaair.com |

good advise and heads up. You can often do as good or BETTER booking directly on Taiwan's airlines-EVA and China and in some cases here in Korea on Korean and Asiana. I have been quoted MORE by travel agents in these two countries than by going directly through the airlines themselves.
I hate travel agents. After a decade and a half of dealing with them here in Asia, I would prefer not to give them any business anyway.
Check with the airline online first and go from there. |

As far as the roundtrip one-way debate goes, I'm in favor of the cheapest option even if it means one-way. It is possible they'll be like what are you doing or something, but your taking the fairy to japan or china in a week so don't worry. |

Leaving to Japan or China in a week on a boat?? where did that come from?
As far as I know US citizens get a month visitor visa.
I'll check EVA air thanks, i have looked at China airlines and thought that'd probably be the cheapest.
If i got the one way ticket and they let me in I could save about a $150USD, if they didn't let me in and I had to buy a ticket back to Taiwan before entering then I'd pay be paying $75-100USD more than if i just bought the roundtrip ticket. |

My friend entered Korea (from Europe) not on a one-way ticket, but an OPEN return (the date set was a year later). My friend is a student, not a worker. I'm also coming to Korea with a return set one year later, and I'll be applying for a student visa in Korea - Do you think I'll get into problems on entry? |
