It's things like this that make me think that the Clinton's running the country again ain't gonna be so bad.

Maybe I don't like her, I sure ain't voting for her, but she won't make me renounce my citizenship.
She's as smart as FDR and as tough as Teddy Roosevelt, I think we can all agree on that.

Why even acknowledge these nutjobs? Especially in the case of someone as accomplished as Clinton? Jesus, man, look at the nuts on this board who belong to this group of schizophernic lunatics.

Agreed. On 11th September 2001, 19 angry Arabs boarder planes in various airports. Three crashed into buildings and one ended up in the middle of a field in Pennsylvania. Two of those airplanes crashed into the WTC, the buildings fell. One plane crashed into the Pentagon. End of story.

Well I don't know if I can view her in the same light as the Roosevelts, but I think she is extremely bright.

Apparently that is too straight fwd and simple for some people to believe.

More like the beginning of the story:

As a result of this tragic event, many traumatized individuals developed a variety of emotional and psychological reactions. Those in the most extreme distress developed serious psychoses. These fall into two basic categories:

One group perceived this as an attack on their essential belief structure, that they were innocent and safe in America. It could only be explained by the irrational assumption that some insiders (the US govt) were to blame for the attack. Thus the "Truthers" were born. They are a tiny, but vocal percentage of the population. No matter how much truth is placed in front of them, they only believe what they want to believe about the events of 9/11.

The second group also perceived this as an attack on their essential belief structure, that it could only come because America was under attack everywhere. The resulting sudden onset of paranoid sychoses infected another small group of Americans. It lead to the creation of a group of "islamofascist hunting war hawks" who, unable to perceive the reality of the situation, have attacked anyone and everyone, destroyed the constitution and liberty, killed hundreds of thousands of innocents, and set the world up for financial collapse and a world-wide depression.

The unfortunate truth is that George Bush, the President, is among those who are mentally incapacitated with the sudden onset of paranoid psychotic delusions regarding the world. This has allowed the the opportunistic neocon insiders in the White House the chance to steer the country on a reckless course of adventurous militarisim and conquest. Empire building and world domination, their long cherished goals, suddenly appeared to be possible. Ignoring the obvious overwhelming chance of failure, they seized control of the diseased mind of the President and led the country to disaster.

I'm part of that 'we'. Senator Clinton is a smart cookie. If she's the nominee, I'll vote for her.

Good man, Clinton. Both of them, actually. If we held the election today, she would have my vote. (And given the Republican line-up thus far, I do not see that changing between now and next year, either.)

While there might be something to that analysis, I need some proof that these people were rational BEFORE 9/11.

Its sad. I'd like to make negative, sweeping generalizations about the "Truthers," but I fear that might get me in trouble with the mod squad. And there are so many "Truthers" on this board, I don't say I couldn't blame the mod squad.

Which is fairly objective evidence that ESL work in Korea draws an inordinate number of wangttas.
