"Liberal Fascism," Book By Columnist Jonah Goldberg, Hacked at Amazon.com

NEW YORK Jonah Goldberg, the conservative Los Angeles Times and syndicated columnist, has been working on a book called "Liberal Fascism" for quite some time, long enough for it to undergo at least a couple of name changes.
Now someone--presumably not a fan--has hacked the book's entry at online bookseller amazon.com. Its current title -- at least momentarily at that site -- is "Liberal Fascism: The Totalitarian Temptation from When I Got My Advance Until I Finally Hand in the Manuscript in 2011."
The cover on the page shows a smiley face with a Hitler moustache.
Other details about the book remain in place, including price and publication date of January 8, 2008.
The real description of the book from the true publisher, Doubleday, includes: "Liberal Fascism offers a startling new perspective on the theories and practices that define fascist politics. Replacing conveniently manufactured myths with surprising and enlightening research, Jonah Goldberg reminds us that the original fascists were really on the left, and that liberals from Woodrow Wilson to FDR to Hillary Clinton have advocated policies and principles remarkably similar to those of Hitler's National Socialism and Mussolini's Fascism."
The book's actual subtitle (pre-hacking), was: "The Secret History of the American Left from Mussolini to the Politics of Meaning."
An earlier subtitle included Hillary Clinton, and still another, Hegel and Whole Foods.

I am too. Eight years is a long time to have a corrupt, misguided, self-destructive government in power. It will be a refreshing and educational change for the younger generation to see what government can do to correct the mess the Right has made of things. |

LIBERAL FASCISM = a total oxymoron (unless of course we're talking "globalism")
Fascism assumes the incestuous marriage of government & corporate world
Hmmmmmm ... nothing like this anywhere ... is there? |

Bush is beyond fascist, more of a communist, although suffering from a from of paranoid psychosis since 9/11, he is no longer ideologically committed to much beyond his focus on war. He sees terrorists everywhere he looks and attacks, at home and abroad. |

No, assumptions, hypocritical one. (Have you nothing but insults??? OH MY GOD!!!!!) I guarantee you the C/N-C Faction WILL not be here screaming about how inappropriate it is to label liberals fascists despite the long and disgusting thread of apologist bull about the US sliding towards fascism.
Not a single assumption. All facts. |

John Pilger is an example of left wing fascism.
Left wing ideals plus hate mongering populism.
I think liberal fascism is an exageration but left wing fascism is a reality. |

No. Anyone who would cite "The Great Global Warming Swindle" is either addled, a fool, a dupe, lazy, on the payroll, or a C/N-C. Or all of the above. |
