Immigration should've only given you a valid E2 visa until the experation of your passport, as well as the re-entry visa.

You need to go to immigration and give show them your passport. They won't issue you another E2 visa in your passport, they will simply put it on their computer file. If you are planning to make any more trips on your current E2 visa, you must get a new re-entry permit. My guess is they will charge you for it.

This all happened to me.

When I did this earlier in the year, I went to Immigration not knowing quite what to expect. Very little did, actually. The official entered the details from my new passport into her computer and gave it back to me. That was about it. She explained that the expiration date on the ARC is what matters, more than the visa in the passport. I was not charged for this.

When I travelled out of Korea the next time, I brought both passports, and needed them both to get back in. It wasn't anything major, but the guy at passport control wanted to see them. I'd suggest you take them both the first time you leave Korea, and after that, once you've got your re-entry stamp (which the passport control guy will scribble a note on and initial), it's no longer an issue.

You have to carry both passports with you until your current one expires. I have just recently renewed mine and I had to pay for a new multiple entry visa, my previous one is only valid until the expiration date of my current passport. After October 30, I only need to carry my new passport. Smile

Either as detailed above or they put a stamp in your new passport indicating your old passport number & transfer over the reentry permit (no charge). Depends on the official.

But you are required to report to immi with new passport details. Youre supposed to do it within 2 weeks & failing to do so could subject you to a fine but they dont seem to get too huffy on this point.
