Why did so many people select Albery Hoffman?

I mean LSD is a hell of a drug and all, but it seems a little strange Confused

And he died recently. God bless him....

I'm curious. I went through the list and counted how many names I recognized. I came up with 44. A few of them I only vaguely recognized.

How many names do you know?

Good news: 24% of people on list are British geniuses

Bad news: 100% of people surveyed to compile list are British gene-asses

I decided to answer your question, so I counted down the list and came up with 44 - the same as you. I wonder if they are the same 44?

Almost half of all geniuses are American. That seems like a bigger headline.

Well we knew it wouldn't be 69. She couldn't reach that position. Surprised

I don't really buy that though. Either way, I love New Found Land and I think the best people in the world live there.

Surely, old chap, you must mean Newfoundland.

Where was Bob Dylan on that list?

Less than 40 for me, and about 10 of those only vaguely. I'd say about 20 or so everyone will know.

My old thread: "What is genius?" can be found here:

Thats true, it's either true or false. But the claim has to be about reported geniuses or known geniuses, only. Do you think people in Congo take the IQ test to find out whether they are geniuses? Even in the USA, most people dont take it because it has become quite controversial. It is either true or false that 24% of people in the world who are geniuses are from the UK, but at the present time, we have no way of knowing it. And since people from the UK comprise much less than 24% of the world population, a claim like this has to be in part on the basis of some kind of fascist/racist belief.

That list is screwed up on so many levels it's laughable. Can't believe it made it into a newspaper.

Strangely, I was thinking the same thing. I saw that guy interviewed on TV. Can't remember his name. Was interesting though. He said it just entered his imagination as a kid wandering about, wondering what worlds possibly existed beyond his sight.

Just for the record, I'm British and I don't like Geniuses.

Everyone knows that they were 5hit once Phil Collins started singing.
