i know some of ya may not care about baseball..let alone the KBO, but i've seen some posts here wondering when the games are etc.
the Doosan Bears, who finished second during the regular season, will be facing the SK Wyverns in the best of 7 series. It should be a great series. If you're able to get out to Munhak or Jamsil to catch a game, I'd go. Great atmosphere for a ball game. way better than the regular season.
anyways, here's the Series schedule.
Korean Series
10/22: SK vs Doosan @ Munhak @ 6pm
10/23: SK vs Doosan @ Munhak @ 6pm
10/25: SK vs Doosan @ Jamsil @ 6pm
10/26: SK vs Doosan @ Jamsil @ 6pm
10/27: SK vs Doosan @ Jamsil @ 2pm (if needed)
10/29: SK vs Doosan @ Munhak @ 6pm (if needed)
10/30: SK vs Doosan @ Munhak @ 6pm (if needed)
any more ?'s, just ask at the forum in my sig. |

Rios isn't the only foreigner likely to have a big impact on the series. SK's pitching staff is led by Kenny Raybourne. |

It's Rayborn? I thought it was 'Raven', since his name in Korean is 레이번
They're both excellent pitchers. SK is the better overall team. They are #1 in Korea for homeruns and #2 for bases stolen. But they're also choke masters, and they are the only team in the league that doesn't have a championship (due to being the newest team).
My prediction: If SK pulls off a victory tonight, they take the series in 6. If they lose tonight, they lose in 7. Either way, it's gonna be a good series and very tight. |

How much to tickets tend to run? Are they easily available or will tickets sell out (at Jamsil)? Can you get them at the door or do you have to purchase in advance? |

last year i paid 15,000 outside jamshil stadium for general admission to game 5, sat in the middle of the hanhwa section.
i must say it was a good time; hope there is a game 5 this year too and the weather is good. |

I will be arriving on Thursday at about 4:30 for a 6 pm game. Given Koreans' general inability to plan ahead, I should be able to get a ticket.

Doosan wins 2-0....thanks to Rios's pitching. He pitched a complete game shutout only allowing 4 hits.
what a game by Rios! Rayborn pitched well, going 6 innings giving up 2 runs and 5 hits....but Rios was just too strong.
SK is going with Chae for game 2 instead of Romano. probably best since Romano is 0-1 and has an ERA over 5 against the Bears. Chae has done well this season for SK. If Randle is able to keep SK bats quiet and keep them off the bases, Doosan wins.

I pick SK to win tonite, in a big way. They will be really determined tonite to silence the critics.
Randall is way overrated, and basically a Rios wannabe.
But feel free to slag me tomorrow if I am wrong. |

Ilsanman (to Ilsanman): Hey dude, don't trust SK to win tinite!! You said yourself that they're chokemasters.
Ilsanman: Yes sir. (hangs head in shame)
Damn they disappointed me. They're a better team but can't catch a break.
