I'm just saying....

(These days, what is the difference between the Yankees and the Red Sox again?)

Go cry in your Cheerios.

I could care less who won this series. It's just funny to see BoSox fans delighting in what they have criticized their nemesis for many years about, paying up the butt for championships. Epstein seems to be doing a better job at finding the expensive talent lately than the Yanks, but I am sure they will spend a bunch this off season, especially now that it looks like Rodriguez is out of there.

Me either. I'm laughing though at the Boston furniture store owner that had a sale gimmick that if the Sox won the series, he would refund every single dollar you spent in his store that day (week?). People went nuts and he sold thousands of units. Time to give the money back, then march over to the welfare line.

Boston ready to paint town red for Sox

By Ken Maguire, Associated Press Writer | October 29, 2007

BOSTON --Sunglasses shielding his sleepless eyes, David Ortiz held the glittering World Series trophy aloft for Red Sox fans gathered outside Fenway Park. "Man, we got it man," Big Papi told reporters, his hands still on baseball's ultimate prize.

"There was a lot of celebration," Ortiz said. "I got to go. I am tired."

The city is planning a rolling rally Tuesday from Fenway to City Hall Plaza. The parade will pause in three spots -- Copley Square, the Boston Common and City Hall Plaza -- so closer Jonathan Papelbon can dance his wacky Irish jig.

The parade will follow the same route as the one from 2004, except it won't venture into the Charles River, Mayor Thomas Menino said Monday. Menino said accommodations had to be made for fans to see Papelbon.

Jordan's rebate has Sox fans sitting pretty
When Marty Rodweller uses a $2,000 windfall to either remodel her bathroom or take a trip to Ireland next spring, she'll be thanking the Boston Red Sox.

The 53-year-old academic counselor from Danvers was preparing today to send an application for a rebate on a mattress and bed frame she bought last spring from Jordan's Furniture.

The chain ran a promotion offering full rebates if the Red Sox were to win this year's World Series -- a statistical long shot that came true Sunday night when Boston beat the Colorado Rockies in a sweep.

Rodweller decided to go to bed before Game 4 ended and the Red Sox clinched. When she couldn't sleep, she returned to watch the game's final hour-and-a-half.

She didn't have trouble nodding off the second time, though, knowing she could expect to see her $2,000 rebate check in a few weeks.

"Because they won, I slept like a baby," she said. "Now, I can't decide if I'm going to spend the money on the bathroom or a trip to Ireland next spring."

Yes, the world comes to play in MLB in the US.

The next best leagues are in Cuba and Japan.

The third rate leagues are in Korea, Taiwan, China, the Philippines and many Central and South American Countries.

The Japanese have yet to Challenge the MLB to an International Series, maybe someday.

There was an attempt at World Cup baseball, I don't think it had the commercial success that everyone hoped for.

In the mean time the Red Sox remain the World Champions of Baseball.
