| What's interesting is some people estimate the brain's storage ability at 100 terabytes. It's not inconceivable in the next 10 years you'll be able to carry around the brain's storage ability on a couple thumb drives. |

Well you can't really make a 1-1 comparison. The brain stores stuff so much differently than computers, that it's ridiculous to even try to come up with an equivalent or estimate, imho.
For example, a memory would be like high res video plus smells, emotions, etc. 1GB would be something like an hours worth of memories. No sweat.
Now take that GB and put it all in text. I could be wrong but I believe it's something like a couple hundred thousand pages. No way is anyone going to be able to store that. |

when I build my next system I am putting 4 of those bad boys in..
and along with my 800gigs of external I will be smooth sailing!! hahahaha
I heard from the samsung chief engineer that flash drives will be out soon and so called harddrives will be a thing of the past.. cant wait for the day I can walk around with every movie ever made on my key chain!
