is it legal that i still have to pay bag my school the flight if i have worked there for 6 months? |

there is no "law" on this...but normally 6 months is the cut off point...my contract originally stated 8 months and i pointed this out and was told it was a typo...i'm working in a public school though...funny how it was a typo...just check the contract... |

It is strictly a contractual matter.
I hope your contract precludes your repaying back the airfare after 6 months but if it requires payback after that point (some say if you quit anytime before the end of the contract you have to repay the airfare in) and you signed it... you are outta luck. |

Check your contract as stated above.
If the clause is in there, you are out of luck as when you signed it you entered into a contractual obligation with your employer..... |

sometimes the hakwon makes the job sound enticing (by offering to pay your airfare to Korea) then they just deduct a larger amount (more than the plane ticket costs) from your paycheck...basically just another form of bait and switch fraud that is so popular in Korea. |
