Wow, 141,000 sq km of land with nothing but oil. That is about the same size as the US state of Illinois. With four times the amount of oil that Saudi arabia has to boot. This is great news for Canada, North America and even the West as a whole. Best of luck to the people of Alberta on getting this oil dug up.

On a similar note, I thought Canada had huge uranium deposits also.

Yep, here's one 'city' that used to be quite the happening place way back when:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uranium_City,_Saskatchewan

Quote:
Initially, most of the residences in Uranium City were simply tents. With the boom of uranium mining, Uranium City was a thriving town up to the year 1982, with its population approaching the 5,000 threshold required to achieve city status in the province. The closure of the mines in 1983 led to economic collapse, with most residents of the town leaving. It was later designated as a northern settlement with about 300 people remaining. After the closure of the local hospital in the spring of 2003, the population fell further to about 70 people.

Actually it's more like the state of Florida. 1-3 trillion barrels but in Colorado there is supposedly more than that but it is in shale (rock) more difficult to get out and not so environmentally friendly.

Canada I believe is #2 or 3 in uranium - Australia is #1 but there are many Canadian companies mining or searching for uranium all over the world.

Here's another "industry" Canadian investors seem quite dedicated in supporting.

Might that be why MULTIPLE AmeriKan PEACE activists have recently been blocked from entering the country?

Asking IGTG to make an actual point, to put his nickel down to an actual claim, is like trying to eat soup with a fork. IGTG lives in this swirly world of shadow. He can never quite put his finger down on anything, but it all seems connected to him and out to get him.

I read that article. I realized I read that same article back in 2000. Instead of Alberta is was set in Seattle. Instead of oil, it was software. Instead of Syncrude it was Microsoft. Instead of Syncrude badges it was "vested stock options" and a Microsoft blue badge. Instead of people buying Hummers and 4x4s, it was 23 year old buying Italian sports cars.
