Officials have said that CCTV footage shows Neil also stayed as a guest of the Ben Mansions, the same hotel where police allege Mader is seen in their surveillance camera picture.

So the Ben Mansions is the hotel of choice for pedophiles from Canada?

A Western journalist living in Thailand says that two high profile cases involving pedophilia and suspects from Canada have embarrassed Canadians in the country.

"Tonight, I actually spoke with a couple of Canadian ex-pats here in Pattaya and they feel ashamed and extremely embarrassed, as well," said Howard Miller of the Pattaya City News.

"(They're) a little bit frightened, as well, to see what other people in Pattaya think of them now, as well. Obviously, it's not good news for Canadians living in Pattaya."

Does that mean they'll start wearing US flags on their backpacks? Wink

Whoa, that's right. He was in jail in the one article, and now running around Pattaya just a year or two later. Wonder how long he served time in jail? That's nuts.

On news here they are saying the Cambodia charges were dropped...No further explanation...

Sounds more sick than the Neill story..

It's probably the Pattaya epicenter for pedophiles from all nations.
Might be a good idea for the Thais to stake the place out.

I was thinking of sticking a Samoan flag on mine.

People like them, right?

Most Thais are really cool and happy people- its a shame they have to host the dross of western humanity in order to make a living.

good point Julius

I blame Mass Tourism. Everyone thinks "tourism" is a goo thing but there is an ugly side to it. Sex tourism---general destruction of the environment---don't get me started on McDonalds. Minimum wage jobs-prostitution-it goes deeper than these clowns.

He's been arrested flying into Vancouver.

He learned his lesson from Neill and was obviously talking to lawyers. Better to be tried in Canada under an untried law than Thailand. Of course either scenario is bad but I;ll pass on an Asian jail. Hypothetically speaking.

This guy has been deprived of his freedom and that's a great thing.
