Is that her idea of a marketing gimmick?

She doesn't really need one though, does she? It's not as though sales of the last one slipped.

Good point. Maybe she just gets off on this.

damn jk for making me read those books! i refused to for years, citing that they were for children.

unfortunately, they're engrossing.

and i'll be glad if harry bites it. he's the most worthless character in the book and a terrible wizard. he always needs his friends to bail him out.

Until I saw this thread, I was betting on Harry Potter killing Voldemort, but unintentionally.

Have you noticed Dorothy's pattern?
It wasn't her fault that her house landed on the Wicked Witch of the East.
And she didn't know that water was fatal for the Wicked Witch of the West.
Moreover, she only threw the bucket of water to save the Scarecrow.

Dorothy keeps up the pattern in the sequels, too.
An evil gnome tries to eat Dorothy's pet hen, but at that moment, the hen lays an egg.
Hitherto unknown to Dorothy, eggs are fatal to gnomes.

Yes, I know, J. K. Rowling and L. Frank Baum are two different writers.

even if she killed harry, people could still make spin-off sequels with ron and hermione or something. so that's a dumb reason to kill him.

I thought this might be a good time to bump this thread.

I wasn't quite right when I guessed that Harry Potter would kill Voldemort unintentionally.
Rather, Voldemort tries to kill Harry Potter, but his wand ricochets.
