Are the mens "big size" clothing in Itaweon only stuff like football jerseys and the such. Or are there nice polo shirts there? I am not looking to be in a rap video or look like 50 Cent. Im lookin for stuff I can wear to work.

Thanks Very Happy Specific locations would be GREAT! BUT I was just wondering about Itaweon in general. Or anywhere for that matter!

Big Star, opposite the fire station has smart gear and casual wear that isn't just gang banger apparel.

www.landsend.com

www.llbean.com

don't waste your time looking around Itaewon, it's futile, and overpriced.

landsend takes a week or less, and they have total guarantee, no questions asked. L L bean too.

Well I considered having stuff sent here from home. But what about import taxes? Wont it equal about the same??

Surely there HAS to be a place here that sells your average casual polo shirt (with possible stripes - horizontal or verticle)!!??

Does anyone know APPROX. how much a shirt is at these stores in Itaweon are. LLBEAN has them for about $35, plus shipping. Am wondering if its really worth it? RE: shipping costs and import tax

It's definitely worth it. For example, Lands End charges $30 shipping on a $100 order. Their prices are very low, considerably lower than name brand stuff in Itaewon, and better quality.

You can get an import duty slapped on, it's hit and miss, it's happened to me once on 3 orders. The order was nearly $500, and the duty was $100. The other two times, no duty, so may have been because it was such a large order. Even with the duty, you will save a ton, and it will come to your door in about a week, or sooner if you pay for faster delivery.

I love the hypocrisy of the posters in this thread. A man asks this and gets a sensible answer. Whenever a woman asks a similar question people direct them to tent shops and start yet another ' Why we hate Western women' thread.

(By the way, I'm an American size 2, so I'm not exactly bitter and twisted and resentful about my weight.)

There's a store in Itaewon you might want to check out. facing hamilton hotel, go left (down the hill). just past the north face store, there's a little shop that sells brand name calvin klein, levis, nike, and others. big sizes too. stuff is overprices IMO, but it's the only place I've found in Itaewon that I like for clothes, and the guy working there is a nice guy. Also, if you go to Namdaemun, they have Levi's jeans on a big open area table, just piles and piles of jeans, for $35/pair. They also sell army surplus stuff, if you walk around, you should be able to stumble on it.

Definltely swear by the Lands End stuff though. The last order I sent back because the pants and shirts didn't fit well, so they gave me free shipping on my next order ($70). Very cool. Also, they have amazing shoes, slip on super comfortable and suede casual, $30.

If you order the fastest delivery, it will come Sweden Air Mail in 2-3 days.

Can't go wrong.

I know, t'is true. And I am actually a woman asking for a friend. Just thought it would be easier instead of "so my friend is ..."

But I hear ya, I remember reading this morning a girl asking where to buy plus sized clothing and a kind gentleman referred her to www.heiferware.com (to which I went to curious, and was disappointed no such link existed)
