Every time I come onto Dave's to look for some specific info without posting a question I try to use the search function. I type in what I want, if it's a phrase I put in inverted commas but I always get over 300 irrelevant results.

It's so damn frustrating because I know how much good info there is on this site.

Come on, sort your software out!

I actually meant quotes.

I used the all function and that seemed to work. Although I'm struggling to understand the difference between the term "any" and "all" not the most clear layout eh!?

Yeah, I hate it when someone says in a thread "please use the search function". We all know the search function is utterly useless, so there's no point in even trying anymore. Use google.

When I do a search now I don't get any results from the forums anymore.
I didn't think it was possible, but I think the search function is actually getting worse.

If searching for big nose
Any means either big or nose
All means big and nose but not necessarily together

I always search by post, not topics, as the topics may mean hours of searching for the right post.
