|
|
Last year I recall a post in which Jongnoguru and others discussed a theater in downtown Seoul where they show classic films. At the time, I went to the theater's website and checked out their schedule. I remember they were screening A Fistful of Dollars and a few other greats I wouldn't mind seeing on the big screen. Anyone know the theater's name and directions?
I checked past threads, but the only place that seems similar is Cinemateque; and unless they've changed their films from classics of all varieties to arthouse fare, I don't believe that's the one I'm thinking of.
Any help would be tremendously appreciated. |

I would actually appreciate directions on how to get there. Plus the name of the theater would be fabulous as well. |

I think its the Seoul Art Cinema in Insadong. It's located across the street from the Fraser Suites, and it's on the 4th floor of the Nokwon Arcade.
The closest subway station is Jongno 3 exit 5 (or take exit 4, which has an escalator and turn 180 degrees when you reach street level and head towards Insadong street. After you go under an overpass, you'll see the Fraser suites (same building as Coffee Bean) ahead on the right, and the entrance to the Seoul Art Cinema is across from that (before you get to the Coffee Bean...)
When you take the elevator up to the 4th floor, you'll see like a roof-top cafe and the ticket booth - It looks like an artsy setting with a nice view... |
