I heard something in the news this week. I couldn't get the details. Maybe someone else here did.

Apparently, 5 or so players went boozing in Indonesia the night before a big game, and of course they lost. Now the public is in an uproar. The goalie (Lee Woon Jae) was crying on TV.

Anyone got a link to an English story of it?

Three players. Lee wasn't crying, but he was tearful. They got a year suspension and community service.

Lee Ddong Guk or Lee Woon Jae? I thought he plays overseas. Is that suspension only for Korea?

Lee Woon Jae sucks anyways. The team is hurting for a better goalie. Now is the time.

Lee Woon Jae. He is the captain. He plays in Korea. The suspension is only applicable to the national team. He's finished.

He's the captain? No wonder the national team sucks so much these days.

Who did they lose the game against?

It's a pity since Lee Woon Jae is still the best goalie they have (Cheongju bias showing through, maybe). I wonder if they were on the sauce at one of Jakarta's burgeoning number of room salons; owned by and operated for Koreans, exclusively.

Yeah, if Koreans are criticizing them, so many people here don't have a leg to stand on. It's the pot calling the kettle black.

If he's the best they got, it's a sad case. They can do better.

I had the misfortune of watching Korea v Iran in Malaysia during that tournament. No wonder they were so p1ss-poor that night. Honestly, it was like watching children play.

Lee Woon Jae can still turn out for Suwon in the K_league play offs.Don't know who they have that can replace him in the national team. That puts him out of WC 2010?
