Ill tell this story even if its slightly off-topic because it has to do with Korean women who claim to like conservative guys.

So Im getting a haircut the other night. There's like one hairstylist in my town who knows how to do a "non-Korea man haircut". (she calls it, "beckham style".) So I've gone to her several times and sort of gotten to know her. Plus she speaks intermediate level English.

I am asking if she has a boyfriend yet. She is saying no, she's still single. I told I her I didnt believe it because she is so pretty (in fact, she is cute). She says, "nooo, I am single". I tell her I think she just tells all the guys who come in to get hair cuts she is single so they come back and get more haircuts from her. Apparently, she has heard this theory before because she is denying it before I have even finished saying it.

So I start asking her where she can meet guys. I suggest the internet. She says she doesnt like that. I suggest a church or social group. She says she doesnt have time. I suggest a nightclub or bar. She says she is getting too old for that ( I say she must be crazy to say that since she's only 27). I say, "yeah, nightclubs are kinda bad anyway because guys there just want sex". She says, "Oh, no, not Korean guys. Korean guys dont want sex". I laugh out loud. "What do you mean Korean guys dont want sex? Every guy wants sex." She says, "Oh no, Korean man is very kind and takes care the woman. Not having sex before marry." I ask her why Korean guys always call da bang girls and visit special barber shops. She says, "they need coffee and a haircut".

HA HA HA!

A few days ago I asked my boyfriend if he needed to go to the barber because he needed a haircut. We speak in English, so I wasn't thinking of any special undertones.

"No, I need to go to the salon."

"Yeah, barber, salon, whatever, same thing."

"No, men in Korea who just want haircuts go to the salon."

You got a really nice one because she is not a local woman, she is a Chinese, that's why.

You have a Chinese wife, isn't ????
You are one of strangers. Twisted Evil

Again you are a stranger.
You've said your wife was born in Australia.
I didn't see any Chinese women who keep their house clean, they are all dirty Sad

How could I stand by and watch a fairly nice guy be made a fool of???

I had a female classmate whom I knew somewhat in high school. We weren't close, but she managed to help me find a roommate some years later (her boyfriend). The guy was totally playing her, and talking marriage at the same time. He was nailing some ex-girlfriend, whom he'd been engaged to. Her shoes were at the front door every Thursday morning at our place. This went on for months, and I felt I just had to say something to my female classmate. I would field calls from both women when he wasn't home.

One day, after my roommate was late with the rent for a 2nd month, I got mad and happened to mention it to this former classmate. It passed over her head like it was absolutely NOT possible. She totally dismissed it. What did she think... that I was lying to her? I decided to mind my own business.

Fast-Forward three months. I never saw my roommate anymore because he was always staying at my classmates house, or his other girlfriend's house. I then get this call from my former classmate, "Do you remember when you told me Dan was cheating.......?" She had me tell it to her again. Something FINALLY made her suspicious enough to ask questions about it.

Eventually, she followed him and met the other woman. They confronted him together. Both were being played. He had lived with the first girlfriend, and had broken-off the engagement. He had made the 2nd girlfriend after that, but kept seeing the first. They both kicked him to the curb, and he picked-up another woman soon after.

To this day, the two women are very good friends. I never understood that one.

Since you are so obsessed with me and my personal life, I think you must love me. But alas, you cannot have me because we are both men and I am not gay or bisexual. But I am flattered I have a stalker Very Happy

Anyway, in the past I have referred to her as either wife or gf for legal and personal reasons. I dont think I ever said she was born in Australia... but please find where I said that and put the url for the thread in a post here if its true. However, since I never said that, I dont think youre gonna find it! She was born in China and moved to Australia when she was young. There you have it. Cool

I mean, since Im drunk now, if you or anyone wants, I can send you a photo of us having sex so you believe me. but you better before I sober up.

Saying all Chinese women are dirty and dont clean isn't really different than saying all Korean women are like monkeys in a zoo because they still like to sleep on the floor with the rest of the animals Twisted Evil

in this case, the act of known cheating made her a f buddy... otherwise she might not have been. It wasn't a mutually agreed upon kind of relationship.

No, in China, many hundreds of years ago, people got a clue and started using beds, chairs, and tables. In Korea, women and others have always been and still are. Too. Poor. to have. Chairs. Have you been to China? Doubt it. I dont know any Korean women who wouldnt rather sit on the floor whence eating just like dogs eating table scraps from my apartment in China.

First off, I'm sorry to hear about your experience, OP. I didn't know it was that common to cheat in S.Korea. Are you in the city? For the people that claim it very common, do you think it correlates to your lifestyle/circle of friends? Not to say you're a bunch of players, but it seems the average Kgirl that dates foreigners isn't the very tradition type of Kgirl. Maybe if you're the first foreigner she's dated, then maybe she is "traditional" but if she's had multiple foreign bf's then that should tell you that she's NOT the "girl next door" even if she may look and act like it.

That's the thing about Asian girls, to Westerners they seem like a "good girl", even the ones you'll find in mini-skirts with piles of make-up, most are quiet and "sweet". All I'm saying is:

If you're a conservative guy looking for a serious relationship with a conservative kinda girl, the tell-tale signs of being a "good girl" vs a "bad girl" are a little different with Asian women. Looks are misleading. Actions are misleading. And keep in mind some aren't purposely trying to act innocent, but it's more culturally accepted to behave in a more demure way in public. (Though I'm sure some can be nominated for best-actresses! But with those types of girls, you should get a hint by how you met her and where.)

OP, don't take all the guys' advice and become a player and totally convert to having 1million 1-night stands. Be yourself! If you want to sit and watch TV at night vs dancing, then you'll find a girl that accepts that and enjoys it too or will be willing to compromise with you.

It may take awhile before another person wins your trust but try not to judge every Kgirl by just one horrible experience. Just learn from your mistake. Be grateful it was only 3 months. Next girl you meet, maybe try to get to know her more before officially dating, and be more cautious before giving your trust.

I wish you luck. Time heals.
