| I've got no DVD player, want to get one, want it to be all region. DO the ones at Costco work like that? |

| Check the box. There will be a picture of a little world and a number in the world. If it says 3...it is Korea only. Usually only crappy brand (ie. you have never heard of) DVD players are region free. Go to an electronics market they are more likely to have region free. I got a pioneer region free at one. Also, they will offer to mod it to region free if it is not already. |

write down the model numbers and then google them. If they are not region free then google the model number and "region free hack". If there is no hack then buy a different model.
Honestly your best bet is to get on gmarket and get a region free player for about 50,000 and many of them now come with a usb slot so you can play files directly off your external hard drive or thumb drive. |

| yeah most dvd players can easily be made region free just by putting in a code on the remote. |

I wouldn't say MOST players have a remote hack, but many do. I don't know which DVD players Costco carries, but the Philips and JVC models often have remote hacks.
Mine is a Yamaha that also plays DVD Audio and SACD. Check out shopping.yahoo.co.kr and write in Korean letters "universal." |

| The Phillips one is Korean region. I'll check and see if it can be hacked tomorrow. Probably going to return though. |
