Sadly, THE BEST ATHLETE turned actor was O. J. Simpson.
Seriously.
The athlete who made the BEST ACTOR: John Wayne was a football star as a USC Trojan but an injury ended his career hopes. |

VI made a good point, but alas he was not a pro. Kerouac, Ronald Reagan too. Kerouac was a performance artist. Bruce Lee gets a mention. Jackie Chan too. Jean Claude Van Damme - is really bad. You laugh at Arnold? Laugh louder at Van Damme. Every one of his movies stink. |

Game of Death!
The Rock's got tons of charisma, but I'm not sure he could parlay that into dramatic acting.
Ray Allen was pretty decent in He Got Game. |

I thought the point of the thread was that one had to be an athlete first.
Either way, Sean Connery's a better actor than Arnold. |
