This time it's dinner! Let's start at 6:00 pm.

We're going to take over Dos Tacos in Hongdae and then walk down the street to Pure Decadence for some vegan ice cream. I'll call the owner to check up on vegan options at the restaurant. I *highly* *highly* recommend the potato burrito (and it's only 5,500 won!) It makes my day every time. Also, sodas are refillable.

Who's going to make a poster with Spliff's avatar to put outside the restaurant making it clear that he's not wanted? Very Happy

I've never been to the Hongdae Dos Tacos, but it better be at least twice as big as the Gangnam one (and have more kitchen help) in order to handle a crowd that could be around 40 people at a prime dinner hour on a Saturday ...

A 5pm start time would probably make it easier for them - if that's an issue ...

Or else, we could all just cram in there and wait out the slower service, which might not be that big a deal ...

(Also if I announce that I'm definitely coming , it might serve to keep the crowd down some - since I'm a scary dude ... Twisted Evil )

I will have a chat with the owner about what time would work best. I think if he's anticipating us, he can get some extra prep done to help with the wait, and the owner said that the business is slack in the winter since Koreans prefer soup in cold weather.

Ok, I've talked to the owner, and it's all set.
I expect a sizable turn-out though, and we'll probably pack the place. Be prepared for standing-room only.

To make this easier, we're going to try to give him a pre-order.
Please go to this website and pick what you want:
http://dostacos.co.kr/menu/menu.htm

Send me the info here on the thread or via pm (or on the blog or on facebook, of course) and I'll relay it to him before Saturday.

Anything can be customized, so if you don't want cilantro or olives, etc., just make a note of it.

By the way, here's a map:

There were plenty of lookers at the last meet-up but I don't have permission to publish their photo. In the meantime, I humbly submit this:

Now, hush. The veg-heads are talking about important veg-business.

I've already placed my "pre-order": http://seoulveggieclub.wordpress.com/

I'll repeat it here to dispel any rumors that I'm trying to lose weight:

I'm getting a "vegetable burrito" (even though the fried "potato burrito" tastes better - maybe I am cutting back a little ...)

Plus, I'll opt for a "vegetable quesadilla", side order of "guacamole", and lemonade/Perrier for drinks ...

Once again, here's the site for their menu:http://dostacos.co.kr/menu/menu.htm

(Remember that meat-eaters are always welcome to attend Seoul Vegetarian club events, but you should - of course - refrain from ordering any non-vegetarian items ...)

I think I'll just have guacamole and chips. Too bad they don't have veggie choriso.

Maybe some people were scared-off thinking that it would be too crowded and indeed be standing room only ...

I don't think so (though Pure Decadence will probably be jammed if most people also go there afterward ...)
