|
|
I've recently subscribed to a Cable/internet service.
My pc is connected via a cable modem and i'm having a few problems connecting my XBox360 to the internet.
In my old apartment I had KT Megapass and ethernet connection and all i had to do was plug in the 360's ethernet instead of the PC's to the wall socket.
However, When I try to hook up my 360 to the cable modem it can't get a connection. Can anyone suggest what the cause might be? |

When you change the device connected to the cable modem via the LAN cable you have to reboot the modem (power off / power on) at the same time.
The same problem exists if you try to change computers on a cable modem as well. |

Cable modem needs to be on first then the 360
Caused me hours of headaches with my router when I got it.
actually it might be the other way round. My router had to be on first then my modem
Can't remember if I had the 360 on first or second when i tried direct connection.
Get a router it makes life a lot easier. |
