A friend called me this weekend to let me know that he'd seen a poster (for my school) featuring me! I remember having some pictures taken for a pamphlet, but wasn't informed that I'd be part of an advertising campaign.

Anybody caught a glimpse of my now highly-recognizable (thanks CNN and Chris Neil) mug?

If they'd asked my permission, I would have been embarrassed but probably would have said 'yes.' However, it bothers me that they didn't ask. Any advice?

Did they add a swirly-filter to your face?

I'm keeping an eye out for it but I haven't seen it yet. I think my parents would get a kick out of a picture of me beside the billboard.

They didn't have your permission. That's sooooooooo not cool. They owe you a modeling fee. Pamplet does not equal subway campaign.

A former co-worker had stills taken for the cover of the school magazine. Then was in Kangnam one day to discover her face on the school's HQ covering 5 storeys. She was a little...shocked they didn't mention this to her.

Yeah, I'm going through more or less the same situation at my school. Nothing like having two of the teachers unroll a banner with a 15 foot me on it. I was told I would be in the pamphlet, but I wasn't ready for the banners and the posters...

I think they would! That would make a great picture to send home. You standing next to the poster of you.

Response: "Well, I don't appreciate not being told about this. I either want some money or for the billboards to be taken down."

Followed by teeth sucking and "I think it is... not possible."

I was under the impression that you have to sign a permission form before your image can be used in public.
