Pusan Expatriate Storytelling Performances
You've just discovered a community experience where truth, comedy and insight synthesize into incomparable gatherings of like minds. Evenings of stories told by the people that lived them, are unlike any entertainment youll find in South Korea. By their very nature, narrative performances attract sophisticated and passionate audiences.
In an expatriate culture where socialization is relegated to small talk in bars and online message board complaining, no genuinely soul-satisfying alternatives have been made available. In response to this tragic void, I proudly welcome you to attend these regularly-held literary events.
Fascination and hysterical laughter go hand in hand, in an environment of an unashamedly old-fashioned storytelling. Live performances of true stories are enthralling, funny and moving. A variety of sexy house music is peppered in-between each reading, and mingling is encouraged.
PARTICIPATING
The stories told, are true stories from the storytellers' lives and they must be told live on stage. Notes are allowed to be read on stage, and subject matter may vary. All authors interested in participating will be asked to give a reading over the telephone, which is required before being booked to perform at an event. A typed version of each story will be emailed in advance of the phone reading. An email reply will be sent to schedule the phone reading. It is advisable that all emailed story submissions include your phone number as well as your name.
EMAIL address can be found at myspace.com/pesp69
ATTENDING
Locations and dates will be determined depending upon various factors. Joining the e-mail list, is currently the only way to be kept abreast of event dates and locations. It is advisable that all email inquiries include your phone number and your name as well.
EMAIL address can be found at myspace.com/pesp69 |

Some people never learn. It makes one wonder why Darwin hasn't gotten around to you yet. |

Don't hurt yourself. If you were suited to formulating intelligent thoughts, typing something that made sense and had value wouldn't be so difficult.
Just give up and walk away. Nobody cares to see an example of why these live events are being held. We already know people like you poison public discourses with retarded ponderings made to puff yourself up as some sort of omnicient republican TV pundit. You are not welcome on the thread I initiated. Go be 13 year old somewhere else. |

Wow, someone questions the validity of such an event, and you seek to berate them for it?
Let me fill you in on something, you don't control this board. Heck, you don't even control this thread.
Huff and puff all you want, it will do little for your cause.
How about being a little more gracious next time? What would it hurt? |

Are you illiterate? Nobody questioned the validity of the event. He questioned why I had not been killed yet by the laws of natural selection: BIG DIFFERENCE, Miss Manners. Graciousness in response to such a worthless comment? That's as stupid of a suggestion, as his comment was. Why don't you kiss his asss "next time" how about that, "would that hurt?" |

So now you've resorted to name calling and childish insults??
Man, you really know how to put on a show.
Make sure you charge money for this event, I want to be sure you get what is coming to you.

What's wrong with political correctness? without it you'd have civil war in the west. not so much in korea where there is a homogenous population.
could you tell us some opinions of yours that you'd describe as being politically incorrect? |

How many times have you been in a foreigner bar when the owner or manager announced that more than 5 people were there so they had to have some of the people leave? "The other guys" were not me. I am not interested in causing trouble for myself or anyone else and will conduct myself accordingly. |
