|
|
From the Embassy's e-newsletter (http://canadanews.kr/home/newsforcanadians0711_eng.html)
"As part of the Embassy's Mission Consular Outreach program, the consular section will hold an information meeting for Canadian citizens in Busan and its vicinity on November 24, from 1pm to 4pm, at the Busan Women's Centre Building (14th floor). The purpose of the meeting is to serve Canadians working and living in Korea by providing information on consular services available from the Embassy in Seoul and the Consulate in Busan. We will also invite guest speakers from Korea government offices, such as the immigraiton, tax, pension, labour, and health insurance offices. We encourage Canadians in the area to participate in this event." |

Okay, wait...
The CANADIAN embassy?
From Canada?
They're helping us?
How much are they asking for? |

I am very interested in making it to this meeting. I have been here for a long time, but I only know of a couple of ways the embassy can do eff-all for us. I'd love to go to this meeting and learn ALL of the ways they can do eff-all for us. |

It is sponsored by the embassy, but it is not about embassy services. It is about immigration laws/procedures, labor filing, pension refunds, and other things sundry in Korea. Nothing to do with the embassy itself.
(that's to say, IF it is the same as the Daejeon presentation) |
